In the journey of spiritual growth, faith is the foundation that pleases God. According to Hebrews 11:6, “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” However, many believers unknowingly allow certain spiritual enemies to erode their faith, delaying or even preventing the breakthroughs God desires for their lives.
This powerful teaching reveals four major enemies of faith—and how to overcome them to live a life of victory, purpose, and divine alignment.

Pride is one of the most deceptive and dangerous enemies of faith. According to Proverbs 16:18,
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Pride convinces people that they are self-sufficient, that they don’t need God’s help, or worse—that they know better than God. This leads to relying on personal understanding rather than divine wisdom, creating distance from the kind of faith that truly pleases the Lord.
Unforgiveness often walks hand-in-hand with pride. It masks itself as protection, but in truth, it’s a trap. Hurting people tend to hurt others, and the longer unforgiveness festers, the more it breeds bitterness and emotional decay.
The spiritual consequence is severe: it blocks God’s flow of grace and restricts breakthrough. Unforgiveness prevents healing, reconciliation, and divine peace from taking root. It also contradicts the very heart of the Gospel—grace and mercy.
This threefold demonic cord of fear, doubt, and unbelief can silently destroy a believer’s confidence in God’s promises. These spiritual enemies whisper lies during hardship, test trials, and seasons of waiting.
They prevent the Word of God from manifesting victory. Fear disables, doubt divides, and unbelief disqualifies. Left unchecked, they rob believers of miracles, provision, and spiritual growth.
Disobedience may seem subtle but is one of the most dangerous enemies of all. It manifests when a believer hears God’s instruction but chooses convenience over conviction.
Disobedience delays destiny. It creates unnecessary detours and allows other enemies—like fear and pride—to gain more control. Obedience, on the other hand, aligns the believer with divine timing and opens the door to supernatural manifestations.
Victory over these enemies requires a daily commitment to living by faith. Here’s how to guard and grow real, God-pleasing faith:
Pray without ceasing
Confess sins regularly
Delight in the Lord daily
Speak words of faith, joy, and truth
Bless the Lord at all times
Remain connected to fellow believers
Forgive freely and without delay
This lifestyle creates a spiritual atmosphere where signs, wonders, and miracles become normal. It shifts the believer’s posture from survival to supernatural living. The Call to Live a Life That Pleases the Lord
Pleasing the Lord must become a daily non-negotiable. It’s not something to apologize for or shy away from. It’s a covenant lifestyle that unlocks blessing, transformation, and eternal impact.
When believers bless the Lord continually—regardless of the season—they create space for heaven to invade earth. Even in this moment, signs, wonders, and miracles are being released by faith.
